A firmware beta-test for the Sony PCS-G50/70 is currently running. This new firmware enables the embedding of Sony IP surveillance cameras as a participant to a video conference - point-to-point as well as to a multipoint conference.

So calling surveillance cameras as a participant to a video conference is possible by easy IP way for the first time.

Manifold requested szenarios are now available like getting surveillance of single machines and products in the manufacturing hall and detailed live-motion-images of machine X and product Y to the conferencing room.
